In the mid-1800's, an escaped slave finds refuge in a Western town populated exclusively by African Americans. At first, the escaped slave thinks he's found paradise, but when he discovers that the town's leader is not the beneficent patron he presents himself as, but a villain with a heinous plan, the escaped slave leads a revolt.
